Wilmer Valderrama Recalls Friendly Rivalry With Ashton Kutcher On That 70s Show In New Memoir

Wilmer Valderrama Recalls ‘Friendly Rivalry’ With Ashton Kutcher on ‘That ‘70s Show’ in New Memoir

Valderrama's Memoir Explores His Journey on 'That '70s Show'

Actor Wilmer Valderrama has released a new memoir titled "Whilmer Valderrama: ¡Hola Papi! How I Survived Hollywood Despite Family, Friends and Bad Luck." In the book, Valderrama recounts his experiences growing up in Los Angeles and his rise to fame on the hit sitcom "That '70s Show."

One of the most memorable aspects of Valderrama's time on "That '70s Show" was his "friendly rivalry" with co-star Ashton Kutcher. The two actors played best friends on the show, but they also had a competitive relationship off-screen.

Valderrama's Rivalry With Kutcher Pushed Him to Be Better

In his memoir, Valderrama recalls how Kutcher's constant teasing and competitive spirit helped him to become a better actor. Valderrama writes that Kutcher "was always pushing me to be better. He would always say, 'You can do better than that.' And I would always try to prove him wrong."

Valderrama also credits Kutcher with helping him to develop his own sense of humor. "Ashton is one of the funniest people I know," Valderrama writes. "He taught me how to laugh at myself and not take things too seriously."

The Rivalry Ended in Friendship

Despite their friendly rivalry, Valderrama and Kutcher eventually became close friends. Valderrama writes that he and Kutcher have remained close over the years, and they still talk to each other regularly.

"Ashton is like a brother to me," Valderrama writes. "I am so grateful for the time that we spent together on 'That '70s Show.' He helped me to become the man that I am today."
