The band achieved significant success in the late 1980s and early 1990s with hits like "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" and "Rock Me."

Station Nightclub Fire

In 2003, Russell gained national attention when a fire broke out at The Station nightclub in Rhode Island during a Great White performance.

The fire killed 100 people, including Great White's guitarist Ty Longley and a close friend of Russell's.
