Activision Cancels H2M Mod Release For Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered just Days Before Launch

Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer Mod Gets Shut Down

H2M Mod Was Set to Launch on February 21st

The H2M mod for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered has been canceled just one day before its scheduled release.

The mod was being developed by a team of fans and was set to bring the multiplayer experience of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.

Activision's Cease and Desist Order

According to a statement from the H2M team, Activision sent a cease and desist order to the team just one day before the mod was set to release.

The cease and desist order stated that the H2M mod violated Activision's copyright and trademark rights.

The H2M Team's Response

The H2M team said in a statement that they were "heartbroken" to have to cancel the release of the mod.

The team said that they had been working on the mod for over two years and that they were proud of what they had accomplished.
